North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashbrook holds off Crest

December 16, 2022: Shelby, NC 28152

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) and the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), saw Ashbrook's basketball squad hold off Crest by a tally of 44-37.

With the victory, Ashbrook improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to Forestview (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Jaguars in a 3A Conference 50 challenge on Tuesday, December 20. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Forestview won 64-42 in their recent league challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC)

Next up, the Chargers confront the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 19. Crest will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Golden Lions come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 71-18 league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).
