The George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), 57-25 in Friday's league test.
The Maroons (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide go into the Mountain Empire test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Galax walloped Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 37-35, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Grayson County for a Mountain Empire test on Tuesday, December 20.
