The Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Fort Bend Elkins Knights to 30 in the Hurricanes league victory on Friday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Bend Clements for a 6A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, January 3.

The Knights (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Cypress Ranch prevailed over Cypress Park (Cypress, TX), 60-16, in a league contest.
