Waterloo Christian Regents (Waterloo, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA), 44-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Waterloo Christian upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Regents host Riceville (Riceville, IA) to play the Wildcats in a Iowa Star bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Riceville won 59-34 in their recent non-league bout against Crestwood (Cresco, IA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars (Sumner, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Tripoli will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 38-29 league win over Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA).
