Nebraska High School Basketball - Elgin/Pope John topples Boyd County

In Saturday's non-league outing, the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack (Elgin, NE) basketball squad beat the host Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), by a count of 51-38.

The Wolfpack (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Creighton (Creighton, NE). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Creighton defeated Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE), 52-39, in a non-league outing.

The Spartans now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hartington-Newcastle for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 19. Boyd County will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 71-57 league loss to Walthill (Walthill, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-4.
