Grove Ridgerunners (Grove, OK) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jay Bulldogs (Jay, OK), 50-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grove upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Ridgerunners travel to Jay (Jay, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Dover Pirates (Dover, AR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. Jay will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 1-9 record after their 66-41 league loss to Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock, AR).
