The Welch Wildcats basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Bluejacket Chieftains to 28 in the Wildcats league victory on Saturday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foyil for a Lucky Seven contest on Monday, December 18. Welch will battle a Panthers team coming off a 50-23 non-league win over Wesleyan Christian (Bartlesville, OK). The Panthers record now stands at 7-3.

The Chieftains (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Quapaw (Quapaw, OK). The Wildcats come into the Lucky Seven contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Quapaw was defeated by Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK), 36-34, in a league contest.
