The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Athens Indians (Athens, MI) and the visiting Howardsville Christian Eagles (Marcellus, MI), observed Athens's basketball team overcome Howardsville Christian by a score of 34-25.
The Indians (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Concord (Concord, MI). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Concord defeated Maple Valley (Vermontville, MI), 75-27, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Gobles Tigers (Gobles, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 17. Howardsville Christian will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 58-28 league win over Kellogg (Delton, MI).
