Athens Indians (Athens, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Howardsville Christian Eagles (Marcellus, MI), 45-38 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Athens upgrades its record to 6-12 on the year. The Indians travel to Hillsdale Academy (Hillsdale, MI) to face the Colts in a Southern Central match on Tuesday, February 18. The Colts enter the match with a record of 11-6. Hillsdale Academy won 36-30 in their recent league match against Jackson Christian (Jackson, MI)
The Eagles now sport a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berrien Springs for a non-league match on Thursday, February 20. Howardsville Christian will face a Shamrocks squad coming off a 67-66 non-league win over Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI). The Shamrocks record now stands at 17-2.
