The Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) basketball were winner over the host Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME), 36-27 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Phoenix now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Winthrop for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 18. Spruce Mountain will face a Ramblers squad coming off a 49-28 non-league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME). The Ramblers record now stands at 2-2.
The Bulldogs (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME). The Panthers enter the C South outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, North Yarmouth Academy ran past Waynflete (Portland, ME), 48-15, in a non-league outing.
