Texas High School Basketball - Austin knocked off by Westlake

The Westlake Chaparrals basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Austin Maroons to 38 in the Chaparrals league triumph on Saturday.
The Chaparrals now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dripping Springs for a 6A Region IV District 26 contest on Wednesday, December 21. Westlake will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-41 league loss to Lake Travis (Austin, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-7.
The Maroons (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Akins (Austin, TX). The Eagles enter the 6A Region IV District 26 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Akins was defeated by Bowie (Austin, TX), 67-45, in a league contest.
