The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX) and the host Horizon Scorpions (El Paso, TX), observed Del Valle's basketball team overwhelm Horizon by a score of 71-50.

The Conquistadores (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkland (El Paso, TX). The Matadors come into the 5A Region I District 2 challenge with a 4-12 record. In their last challenge, Parkland was routed by Hanks (El Paso, TX), 50-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Scorpions battle the El Dorado Aztecs (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, December 20. Horizon will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Aztecs come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 57-29 league win over Bel Air (El Paso, TX).
