Illinois High School Basketball - Herscher bests Reed-Custer

December 17, 2024: Braidwood, IL 60408

The Herscher Tigers basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Reed-Custer Comets to 48 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now possess a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Coal City for a Illinois Central 8 game on Friday, December 20. Herscher will play a Coalers team coming off a 52-29 league win over Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Reed-Custer falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Wednesday, December 18. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 0-9. Gardner-South Wilmington lost 62-43 in their recent non-league game against Newark (Newark, IL)
