In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Hondo Valley Eagles basketball team scored a big 69-27 triumph over the Lake Arthur Panthers.
The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Cowboys/Cowgirls go into the non-league contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, Cliff smashed Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM), 65-45, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Carrizozo Grizzlies (Carrizozo, NM) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 19. Lake Arthur will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Grizzlies go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 68-49 non-league win over Animas (Animas, NM).
