The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) and the visiting Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA), observed Pierce County's basketball team edge Jeff Davis by a margin of 60-59.

The Bears (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Brantley County (Nahunta, GA). The Herons come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Brantley County was tipped by Wayne County (Jesup, GA), 57-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets battle the Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA) in a A D1 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Jeff Davis will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 57-45 non-league win over Brooks County (Quitman, GA).
