Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA), 66-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Knights host East Marshall (Le Grand, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 3-5. East Marshall won 53-50 in their recent non-league bout against South Tama County (Tama, IA)

Next up, the J-Hawks clash with the South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Jesup will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 68-43 non-league win over AGWSR (Ackley, IA).
