The Manistique Emeralds basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Gwinn Modeltowners to 36 in the Emeralds league triumph on Monday.
The Emeralds now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pickford for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 20. Manistique will battle a Panthers team coming off a 53-26 league win over Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-2.
The Modeltowners (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Munising (Munising, MI). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record.
