Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Branford Hornets (Branford, CT), 57-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cheshire upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Rams travel to North Haven (North Haven, CT) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 23. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Hornets play the East Haven Yellowjackets (East Haven, CT) in a Southern Connecticut - Oronoque bout, on Thursday, December 22. Branford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
