Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME), 38-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Greenville upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Lakers host Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The Patriots come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Howlers play the Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) in a C North bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Penobscot Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
