Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Nestucca Bobcats (Cloverdale, OR), 52-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Neah-Kah-Nie upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR) to play the Tigers in a 3A Coastal Range bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 1-3.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Perrydale Pirates (Amity, OR) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 21. Nestucca will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 33-17 non-league loss to Joseph (Joseph, OR).
