North Carolina High School Basketball - Palisades topped by West Mecklenburg

The West Mecklenburg Hawks basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Palisades Pumas to 38 in the Hawks non-league victory on Monday.

The Hawks now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Mecklenburg for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. West Mecklenburg will battle a Vikings team coming off a 60-54 non-league win over Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-1.

The Pumas (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Myers Park prevailed over Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC), 24-22, in a non-league contest.
