The West Central Area Knights basketball team (Barrett, MN), was nudged 71-70 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN)
The Dutchmen now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a AA Section 6 battle on Friday, December 22. Melrose will battle a Huskies team coming off a 83-41 league win over Mora (Mora, MN). The Huskies record now stands at 3-1.
The Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against New York Mills (New York Mills, MN). The Eagles come into the A Section 6 battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, New York Mills was nudged by Sebeka (Sebeka, MN), 53-49, in a non-league battle.
