North Carolina High School Basketball - Murphy edges Swain County

The Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 48-45 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bulldogs (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 8-2 record. In their last test, Union County got by White County (Cleveland, GA), 70-64, in a non-league test.

The Maroon Devils now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Mitchell for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 27. Swain County will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 63-56 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-4.
