Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX), 41-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Sharyland upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Rattlers host Rowe (McAllen, TX) to play the Warriors in a 5A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, December 22. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Rowe lost 58-41 in their recent league bout against Vela (Edinburg, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the McAllen Memorial Mustangs (McAllen, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 bout, on Friday, December 22. Valley View will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 67-49 league win over Pioneer (Mission, TX).
