The Ballard Bombers basketball team (Huxley, IA), was nudged 60-58 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA)
The Tigers now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River battle on Tuesday, January 2. Gilbert will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 32-27 league loss to Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 3-5.
The Bombers (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets come into the Raccoon River battle with a 7-1 record.
