Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Page County Panthers (Shenandoah, VA), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Madison County upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Luray (Luray, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 21. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Luray lost 51-44 in their recent non-league bout against Strasburg (Strasburg, VA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Mountain View Generals (Quicksburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Page County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Generals come into the bout with a 0-8 record after their 50-16 non-league loss to Rappahannock County (Washington, VA).
