In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Salisbury Hornets basketball team scored a big 80-38 win over the East Rowan Mustangs.

The Hornets (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against South Davidson (Denton, NC). The Wildcats come into the 1A/2A Central Carolina contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, South Davidson was trounced by Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC), 55-37, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 20. East Rowan will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Vikings come into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 54-37 non-league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).
