The Oviedo Lions basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Lake Brantley Patriots to 23 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now have a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Edgewater for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Oviedo will confront a Eagles team coming off a 47-46 non-league win over Seminole (Sanford, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Lake Brantley falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Patriots host Lyman (Longwood, FL) to confront the Greyhounds in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Greyhounds go into the game with a record of 1-10. Lyman won 53-28 in their recent non-league game against Trinity Christian Academy (Deltona, FL)
