North Carolina High School Basketball - Mountain Island Charter falls to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy

The Mountain Island Charter Raptors basketball squad (Mt. Holly, NC), was outscored 62-51 in Friday's league battle with the host Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC)

The Gryphons (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, T.C. Roberson dropped by Huss (Gastonia, NC), 83-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Raptors battle the NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Wednesday, January 7. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 68-51 league loss to Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC).
