The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) basketball felled the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), 65-57 in Friday's non-league test.

The Huskies (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Wilkes Central thwarted East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 55-45, in a non-league test.

The Blackhawks now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Watauga for a non-league test on Monday, December 5. West Wilkes will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 76-62 non-league win over Avery County (Newland, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-0.
