The Emerson Mavericks routed the host Independence Knights basketball team by a final score of 52-20 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Mavericks (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Melissa (Melissa, TX). The Cardinals go into the non-league outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Melissa was trounced by Sunnyvale (Sunnyvale, TX), 44-23, in a non-league outing.
The Knights now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Aubrey for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 5. Independence will clash with a Chaparrals squad coming off a 46-40 non-league win over Collinsville (Collinsville, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 6-4.
