In Saturday's non-league outing, the Stratford Spartans (Houston, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos (Missouri City, TX), by a margin of 41-21.

The Spartans (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX). The Bobcats go into the 6A Region III District 17 outing with a 6-12 record. In their last outing, Cy-Fair was beaten by College Station (College Station, TX), 49-47, in a non-league outing.

The Buffalos now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Dickinson for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 5. Fort Bend Marshall will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 76-70 non-league loss to Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX). The Gators record now stands at 11-4.
