In Monday's league contest, the host Vashon Island Pirates basketball team scored a big 73-49 win over the Klahowya Eagles.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Annie Wright (Tacoma, WA). The Gators come into the 1A Nisqually contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Annie Wright smashed St. Francis (La Canada, CA), 56-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Crosspoint Wildcats (Bremerton, WA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 3. Klahowya will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
