Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX), 85-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Alvarado upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Liberty Christian (Argyle, TX) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-8. Liberty Christian won 81-68 in their recent non-league bout against Panther Creek (Frisco, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Lake Worth Bullfrogs (Lake Worth, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Venus will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Bullfrogs go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 41-37 non-league loss to Tolar (Tolar, TX).
