Veritas Classical Academy Lions (Beaumont, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Community Christian Lions (Orange, TX), 57-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Veritas Classical Academy upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Burkeville (Burkeville, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 3-11. Burkeville won 57-35 in their recent league bout against Goodrich (Goodrich, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Sabine Pass Sharks (Sabine Pass, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Community Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Sharks come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 50-32 non-league win over Chester (Chester, TX).
