With the victory, Tupelo improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Golden Wave host Starkville (Starkville, MS) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Starkville won 79-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, MS)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Cleveland Central Wolves (Cleveland, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. South Panola will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record.
