Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), 55-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Waverly-Shell Rock upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Go-Hawks travel to Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA) to play the Stormin' Pointers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Stormin' Pointers come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Center Point-Urbana won 77-44 in their recent league bout against Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA)

Next up, the Cadets play the Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Crestwood will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
