Iowa High School Basketball - Waverly-Shell Rock thwarts Crestwood

The Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA) basketball knocked off the host Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA), 57-40 in Friday's league test.

The Go-Hawks (14-5) will now prepare for their test against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Gilbert went down by Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA), 56-53, in a league test.

The Cadets now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they host New Hampton for a Northeast Iowa test on Tuesday, February 7. Crestwood will encounter a Chickasaws squad coming off a 74-33 non-league win over Charles City (Charles City, IA). The Chickasaws record now stands at 9-10.
