The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) and the visiting Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL), observed Central of Clay County's basketball team overcome Cleburne County by a margin of 64-44.

The Volunteers (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against White Plains (Anniston, AL). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, White Plains dropped by Glencoe (Glencoe, AL), 51-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Faith Christian Lions (Anniston, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 26. Cleburne County will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 64-52 league loss to Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, AL).
