North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County fells Draughn

December 21, 2022: West Jefferson, NC 28694

Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 76-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ashe County upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Huskies travel to Johnson County (Mountain City, TN) to clash with the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Johnson County lost 77-64 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 26. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 66-63 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC).
