North Carolina High School Basketball - Draughn nudges Ashe County

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) basketball squad edged the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), by a count of 82-80.

The Wildcats (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Buccaneers go into the non-league outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Charlotte Country Day School was tipped by Providence (Charlotte, NC), 48-16, in a non-league outing.

The Huskies now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Central Davidson for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 28. Ashe County will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 54-50 non-league win over East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 6-4.
