The Catoctin Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Clear Spring Blazers to 34 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Century for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Catoctin will battle a Knights team coming off a 58-24 non-league win over Pikesville (Baltimore, MD). The Knights record now stands at 6-0.

The Blazers (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Paw Paw (Paw Paw, WV). The Pirates come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Paw Paw was routed by East Hardy (Baker, WV), 86-49, in a league contest.
