George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), 61-45 in a league bout.

With the win, George Stevens Academy upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Eagles host Woodland (Baileyville, ME) to play the Dragons in a C North bout on Thursday, December 28. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Woodland lost 51-46 in their recent league bout against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME)

Next up, the Lynx play the Woodland Dragons (Baileyville, ME) in a C North bout, on Saturday, December 23. Mattanawcook will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 77-52 non-league loss to Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME).
