In Thursday's league outing, the Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) basketball squad beat the host Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY), by a count of 65-52.

The Vikings (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Dragons go into the Section 9 Orange County II outing with a 2-1 record.

The Gladiators now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wallkill for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 3.
