The Coventry Patriots basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Somers Spartans to 37 in the Patriots league triumph on Thursday.
The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parish Hill for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. Coventry will battle a Pirates team coming off a 71-32 league loss to Academy of Science and Innovation (New Britain, CT). The Pirates record now stands at 0-4.
The Spartans (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against University (Hartford, CT). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, University nudged Achievement First (Hartford, CT), 58-49, in a league contest.
