Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA), 39-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Glenvar upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Carroll County won 52-34 in their recent non-league bout against Wren (Piedmont, SC)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Covington Cougars (Covington, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
