Michigan High School Basketball - Rochester nips Pontiac

Rochester Falcons (Rochester Hills, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI), 62-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rochester upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Falcons host Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI) to play the Norsemen in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Norsemen go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Grosse Pointe North lost 72-57 in their recent league bout against Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI)

Next up, the Phoenix play the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish (Pontiac, MI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 79-24 non-league win over Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI).
