The Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ), 52-51 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Chiefs (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Cedar Grove was tipped by Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ), 60-51, in a league test.
The Blue Knights now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Medford Tech for a non-league test on Thursday, December 28. Irvington will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 71-65 non-league win over Doane Academy (Burlington, NJ). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-0.
