St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), 52-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Edward upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Rosary (Aurora, IL) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Rosary won 49-31 in their recent non-league bout against Westmont (Westmont, IL)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 27. West Chicago will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Sentinels come into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 49-31 non-league loss to Rosary (Aurora, IL).
