Maine High School Basketball - Maranacook nips Monmouth Academy

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Maranacook Black Bears basketball team scored a close 46-41 win over the Monmouth Academy Mustangs.
The Black Bears (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME). The Huskies come into the B North contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Maine Central Institute was tipped by Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 62-26, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Monmouth Academy will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Flyers come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 42-22 non-league loss to Boothbay (Boothbay Harbor, ME).
